![]() ![]() This is the first time in that Windows has dropped support for older processors since the beginning of Windows NT becoming consumer friendly with the release of XP and the discontinuation of the Windows 9x family of operating systems. There won't be a 32-bit edition to Microsoft Windows anymore starting with Windows 11, and there isn't any support for 32-bit IA-32 processors anymore anyways, though 32-bit programs will still be compatible with the OS with some minor compatibility issues. In order to upgrade to Windows 11, you permanently need a 64-bit CPU and other 64-bit hardware to comply to the upgrade path to the OS itself. ![]() ![]() We are all aware that Windows 11 will be released in Late-2021, but there is a price to this. ![]()
